Victoria State Final of the Australian Poetry Slam Vic Competitionon Saturday 10 October 2026 at The Performance Space at The Wheeler Centre, 176 Little Lonsdale St, Melbourne VIC 3000.

Feeling chuffed!
Poetry workshop at Bacchus Marsh Lerderderg Library Sat 18th July.
 Workshop was run by Jo Yang an accomplished poet and 2022 Australian Poetry Slam winner.

Afternoon session 8 contestants entered the Australian Poetry Slam Heat and two of us (myself included) are through to the Australian Poetry Slam Vic Competition to be held on 
 October 10, 2026 at The Wheeler Centre in Melbourne.

 The National Final is held on October 25, 2026 at the Sydney Opera House.

Event description:
 
Situated in one of Daylesford’s beautiful historic churches, we offer you the opportunity to commence the day in a calm and reflective manner with Lectio Divina. Rooted in Christian tradition, Lectio Divina invites participants to listen deeply to sacred scripture in a quiet, spacious way – allowing the words to settle, speak and illuminate. This will be a gently guided, non-denominational session, open to all regardless of background or belief.
A gold coin donation will be invited to support the hosting venue.
